People v. Marrs. 10PDJ108. October 8, 2010. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Emilyanne Marrs (Attorney Registration No. 31995) from the practice of law for a period of one year and one day, all but three months stayed upon the successful completion of a three-year period of probation, effective October 8, 2010. Respondent inadvertently endorsed a retainer check and gave it to her husband who deposited it into the family’s bank account. Respondent thereafter performed some legal services for her client but failed to maintain complete and contemporaneous records of the services she had performed. Her misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 1.15(a) and Colo. RPC 1.15(c).
