People v. Lederman. 09PDJ059. March 18, 2010. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Edward L. Lederman (Attorney Registration No. 23629) from the practice of law for a period of six months with requirement of petitioning for reinstatement pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.29(c)-(e), effective March 18, 2010. Respondent failed to competently handle a dissolution of marriage action for an active duty client. He failed to prepare his client for hearings, failed to forward discovery requests to his client, failed to provide his client with exhibits for his review before a hearing, and failed to forward financial information to opposing counsel. He also failed to adequately communicate with his client and violated the rules of tribunal by failing to comply with C.R.C.P. 16. His misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 1.1, 1.3, 1.4, 3.4(c), and 3.4(d).
