People v. Khanna, 05PDJ066. February 16, 2006. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Respondent Kishan K. Khanna (Attorney Registration No. 34535) from the practice of law for a period of nine months, effective March 20, 2006. Respondent knowingly engaged in the unauthorized practice of law by providing legal advice and charging and collecting significant legal fees for such services prior to his admission to the Colorado Bar. In addition, Respondent knowingly revealed and used confidential client information relating to his representation to the disadvantage of his clients. Respondent’s conduct ultimately resulted in actual and potential injury to his clients. Respondent’s misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 5.5(a) and 1.9(c).
