People v. Hazard. 11PDJ027. March 31, 2011. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Thomas E.J. Hazard (Attorney Registration No. 20844) from the practice of law for a period of one year and one day, all stayed upon the successful completion of a three-year period of probation, with conditions, effective March 31, 2011. Respondent knowingly violated his duty to uphold the laws of the state of Colorado when he engaged in criminal conduct. Respondent pled guilty to unlawful possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, a class 6 felony, in violation of C.R.S. §§ 18-18-403.5(1) and (2)(a)(I), and he pled guilty to driving while ability impaired, a traffic misdemeanor, in violation of C.R.S. § 42-4-1301(1)(b). His misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 8.4(c) and C.R.C.P. 251(5)(b).
