People v. Flewelling. 10PDJ032. July 15, 2010. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Barton H. Flewelling (Attorney Registration No. 35585) from the practice of law for a period of one year and one day, effective July 15, 2010. On April 1, 2009, in Orange County, California, Respondent left work, consumed alcohol, then fled from the police and ran eight red lights and stop signs while exceeding 100 MPH. He then intentionally rammed another vehicle occupied by others in an attempt to cause great bodily injury, and fled the scene of the collision without stopping. Respondent pled guilty to felony evading while driving recklessly, misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, misdemeanor hit and run with property damage, and an amended felony charge of battery on September 29, 2009. His misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b).
