People v. Fattor, No. GC96C162, 9/1/99. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge accepted the parties’ Conditional Admission of Misconduct and publicly censured respondent, Joseph A. Fattor for entering into a business transaction with a client with differing interests; accepting employment when the exercise of his professional judgment on behalf of his client would have been or reasonably may have been affected by his own financial, business, property, or personal interests; and handling a legal matter without adequate preparation in violation of prior DR1-102(A)(1), prior DR5-101(A), prior DR5-104(A), and prior DR6-101(A)(2). Respondent was ordered to pay restitution and the costs of the disciplinary proceedings.
