People v. Donaldson, No. GC98C37 (consolidated with No. 99PDJ013), 7/30/99. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge accepted the parties’ Conditional Admission of Misconduct and suspended Respondent, James F. Donaldson, from the practice of law for a period of sixty days with all sixty days stayed on the condition that Respondent be placed on probation for a period of two years subject to certain conditions. Respondent failed to hold property of a client in the lawyer’s possession separate from the lawyer’s own property in violation of Colo. RPC 1.15(a); issued numerous insufficient funds checks from a trust account in violation of Colo. RPC 8.4(c) and continued to practice law while suspended for non­compliance with Colorado’s CLE requirements in violation of Colo. RPC 3.4(c), Colo. RPC 5.5(a), Colo. RPC 8.4(a), Colo. RPC 8.4(c), Colo. RPC 8.4(d), and Colo. RPC 8.4(h). Respondent failed to comply with rule requirements after suspension in violation of prior C.R.C.P. 241.21. Respondent was ordered to pay the costs of the disciplinary proceedings.
