The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Derrick Cornejo (Attorney Registration Number 29438) for a period of nine months, all stayed upon the successful completion of an eighteen-month period of probation, with conditions, effective August 29, 2011. Cornejo failed to represent clients with diligence, neglected to adequately communicate with clients, failed to provide clients with a written basis for his fees, neglected to provide accountings upon client request, disobeyed judicially-imposed obligations, and engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice. His misconduct constitutes grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 1.3, 1.4(a)(3), 1.5(b), 1.15(b), 3.4(c), 8.4(d).
