People v. Bishop. 06PDJ070. September 29, 2006. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Respondent Morgan D. Bishop (Attorney Registration No. 36076) from the practice of law for a period of one year and one day; all but three months stayed upon the successful completion of a three-year period of probation, with conditions, effective October 30, 2006. On July 13, 2006, Respondent pled guilty to Stalking Emotional Distress, in violation of C.R.S. §18-9-111(4)(b)(III), a class 5 felony. Respondent received a two-year deferred sentence for this crime, which is a “serious crime” as defined by C.R.C.P. 251.20(e)(1). Respondent’s misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b).
