People v. Scott R. Bauer. 25PDJ29. May 9, 2025.

 

The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ stipulation to discipline and publicly censured Scott R. Bauer (attorney registration number 13996) with conditions, effective May 9, 2025.

 

On November 14, 2023, Bauer pleaded guilty in Denver County Court to driving under the influence—alcohol 2nd offense, which is a class-one misdemeanor. Bauer was sentenced to a two-year period of probation, sixty days in home detention, fifty-six hours of community service, participation in a Mothers Against Drunk Driving panel, Level II alcohol education, sixty-eight hours of therapy, and alcohol monitoring.

 

Through this misconduct, Bauer violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (it is professional misconduct for a lawyer to commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
