People v. West. 09PDJ005. February 3, 2009. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Carl S. West (Attorney Registration No. 23435) from the practice of law for a period of one year and one day, all but six months stayed upon the successful completion of a three-year period of probation with conditions, effective February 3, 2009. On December 8, 2008, Respondent pled guilty to third-degree assault on his wife, a misdemeanor, and resisting arrest, a class 3 misdemeanor. In a separate incident, Respondent tried a controlled substance. His misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b).
