People v. Charles P. Vaughn. 14PDJ094. December 12, 2014. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge suspended Charles P. Vaughn (Attorney Registration Number 17309) for ninety-one days, subject to conditions. The suspension took effect December 12, 2014.

The Supreme Court of Florida suspended Respondent for ninety-one days, with the requirement that he petition for reinstatement, for failing to abide by his client’s decisions, failing to act diligently on his client’s behalf, failing to properly and adequately communicate with his client, making misrepresentations to his client, and improperly using cost funds. The Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel sought the same discipline as that imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida, but without the requirement that he petition for reinstatement in Colorado.

Vaughn’s misconduct in Florida constitutes grounds for the imposition of reciprocal discipline in Colorado pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.21(e).
