People v. Jesus Roberto Romo-Vejar. 20PDJ033. August 4, 2020. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge granted a motion for judgment on the pleadings in this reciprocal discipline matter and publicly censured Jesus Roberto Romo-Vejar (attorney registration number 17350), effective September 9, 2020.

On December 4, 2019, an “Agreement for Discipline by Consent in In re: Jesus Roberto Romo-Vejar,” case number 011307, was filed with the Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the State Bar of Arizona. In that agreement, Romo-Vejar conditionally admitted that he violated Arizona Rule of Professional Conduct 1.7(a), and the parties requested the imposition of reprimand. Arizona’s Presiding Disciplinary Judge accepted the agreement on December 18, 2019, and imposed the discipline of reprimand.

Through this conduct, Romo-Vejar engaged in conduct constituting grounds for reciprocal discipline under C.R.C.P. 251.21. The case file is public per C.R.C.P. 251.31.
