People v. David L. Prince. 17PDJ054. July 17, 2017. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ conditional admission of misconduct in this reciprocal discipline matter and suspended David L. Prince (attorney registration number 30445) for one year, effective July 17, 2017. Prince’s reinstatement in Colorado is conditioned on his reinstatement from his suspension in Florida.

On February 2, 2017, the Florida Supreme Court suspended Prince from the practice of law for one year, nunc pro tunc to October 18, 2016. That suspension was based on sixty-one grievances filed by former clients complaining of Prince’s misconduct, which involved lack of diligence and communication, charging excessive fees, and conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.

Prince’s misconduct constitutes grounds for reciprocal discipline under C.R.C.P. 251.5 and 251.21, which calls for imposition of the same discipline as that imposed in Florida.
