People v. McReynolds, No. 99PDJ028, 9/23/99. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge accepted the parties’ Conditional Admission of Misconduct and issued a public censure against Respondent Gregg C. McReynolds, subject to certain conditions. Respondent violated Colo. RPC 1.4(a), Colo. RPC 1.4(b) and Colo. RPC 1.3 by failing to adequately explain a matter to a client, failing to communicate with the client, neglecting the client’s filing of a claim before the jurisdictional deadline under the Americans With Disabilities Act, failing to file a claim after the statute of limitations had run, mistakenly alleging an erroneous fact in the complaint, and failing to ensure that a response to a dispositive motion had been filed with the court, which resulted in a judgment of dismissal. Respondent was ordered to pay costs of the proceeding.
