People v. Jesse McMahon. 17PDJ073. October 23, 2017. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved the parties’ conditional admission of misconduct and publicly censured Jesse McMahon (attorney registration number 44540), effective October 23, 2017.

On January 12, 2017, McMahon pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol (“DUI”). This was his second such offense; he was previously convicted of a DUI in 2005. McMahon was sentenced to twenty-nine days of home detention, which he served. He was also sentenced to a one-year suspended sentence in jail and twenty-four months of supervised probation. McMahon is in compliance with the terms of his probation.

Through this misconduct, McMahon violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b) (a lawyer shall not commit a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer in other respects).
