People v. McKinney. 09PDJ097. November 13, 2009. Attorney Regulation. The Presiding Disciplinary Judge approved a Conditional Admission of Misconduct submitted by the parties and suspended Nathan D. McKinney (Attorney Registration No. 29402) from the practice of law for a period of ninety days with the requirement of reinstatement proceedings pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.29(c)-(e), all stayed upon the successful completion of a three-year period of probation with conditions, effective November 13, 2009. On August 20, 2009, Respondent received a 12-month deferred sentence after he had pled guilty to DWAI following an arrest in April 2008. The same day, Respondent received a 24-month probation sentence after he had pled guilty to DUI following an arrest in October 2008. These are Respondent’s third and fourth drinking and driving convictions. His misconduct constituted grounds for the imposition of discipline pursuant to C.R.C.P. 251.5 and violated Colo. RPC 8.4(b).
